Not much action here. Does anybody have some pics of their clean rides? Any revolutionary cleaning techniques?

I just drug the boat out of storage last night. The Frenzy is ready and waiting to clean it up. It sure makes life easy, that's for sure.

My cleaning Technique is having my 2 teenage daughters bring their boyfriends over to wash and wax. After they have completed the task(s) assigned I offer them a Anchor ride to the bottom of the lake as I drink a few more [smilie=1062.gif] .

Also 303 Aerospace Protectant works wonders.

3 years of Spring cleaning and haven't been caught yet. [smilie=050.gif]

We did our spring cleaning yesterday, for the tough stains I used Works and it definitly worked.

I realize this is Frenzy's area but I tried a polish this spring called leverage that worked very well and is supposed to last up to 6 months. You just wipe on and wipe off. Offshoreonly has an entire thread about the stuff. I did the trailer with frenzy wax and got new tire covers for it as well.

For the interior I used magic eraser's dipped in a clean bucket of water and then a couple squirts of bathroom cleaner. I followed up with 303 to protect.

I also used gell paste for the first time to fix a couple dings below the water line. works pretty well but lots of sanding and buffing to make it so it isn't very noticeable (still better than chips though).

Can anybody recommend something to clean the outdrive? I don't have a lift so my boat sits in the water at Table Rock May -Sep.

You can try CLR. Is it hard water deposits or mossy growth?

I just did the AT with Leverage. It has got to be the easiest stuff to apply and remove that I have ever tried. The shine is excellent. I did the entire boat except for the deck and it took about an hour.

baywatch, how is the Leverage holding up as far as keeping its shine and slickness??????

Hey,

My Leverage is holding up well. I applied it the first week of April when I had the boat in my Drive way and I simply spray it with distilled water and and wipe off when it is up on it's hoist at the lake.

Last weekend we were in Party Cove all day and then @ back water Jacks and didn't get home till after dark. I made the cardinal sin of not wiping her down because I was ready for bed. The next morning I sprayed her with the hose and then wiped and the scum line wiped right off.

I will be down the entire week of the shootout so I a plan to do a serious wash, then use the 3m swirl remover, and add a fresh coat of leverage. I am very impressed with stuff and will definately be ordering more.

Note: I did do my deck and it is extremely slick especially if the deck is wet. I literally slide down my deck till I get to the flat part and I have almost slid off a couple times while putting my anchor out.

I heard of something new to me, applying pledge furniture polish to the side and back of the boat, this allows the scum line to be wiped off, once the boat is out of the water. - Cobalt Dealer in Wichita, inlighted us on this one

We use something called Blue Thunder in a 2 gallon sprayer....It's a de-greaser concentrate that we add to water.....spray it on and wipe off...works great.....removes any lake scum easily.....

Simply green works really well too on the scum line. However, any type of degreaser is going to strip the wax in a hell of the hurry.

My experience with leverage is litterally to just spray the scum line with water and it wipes right off. Here is the link. http://www.leveragepolish.com/

Use toilet bowl cleaner and a rag, make sure to wear rubber gloves. It will wipe right off. You can get some stuff from the marinas called ZING, it is alot more harsh and kills your sinus's. The best stuff I have found it the cheap $1 Dollar General brand at the dollar store. Did mine about 2 weeks ago.

A cheap solution to water spots on any surface - 50/50 vinegar and water mix. Mist it on...let it soak and wipe off. I use it on my drive ...spray on heavy...let soak...spray again and keep wet for a few minutes...then wipe off or use a soft brush to get into the areas where a rag won't reach. I also use it on the hull anytime waterspots start to build up. It works especially great when I don't have time to do a good polish/buff...works great and is fast.

Leverage does seem to work pretty well.

Another polish that i truely LOVE is Race Glaze. It works as well or better than Leverage. IT works BETTER because it has a ultra mild ebrasive in it. It IS A CLEANER, not just a polish. Leverage works great if you start with a clean surface. Race Glaze will remove waterspots, soot, tar, bug guts, racoon guts ( I know for a fact ) tree sap, spider poop, bird $hit....etc. It applies easy and wipes off easy too. not as easy as Leverage but still very easy IMO.

I use Race Glaze for my base polish, and Leverage for a quick wipedown when pulling out of the lake.
