So hypothetically lets say someone somehow has their prop hit a support beam of the lift & breaks off 3" or so of the prop tip.

Is it still safe to run (conservative) on it?
How long does it normally take to have a new tip added? Possible to be back on the water soon?

I think you would have a serious case of the vibrations and possibly risk damaging the shaft. 3" is quite a bit of material to replace. I don't know what the turn around time is this time of year but I would consider buying a replacemant and have the old one reworked as a backup. I know the prop shops around here are getting back logged due to our lake being so low. You know it's bad when the bass boat guys are tearing chit up.

3" off a propeller tip usually spells "through it away".

The propeller can be rebuilt but the labor cost makes it non cost effective. Plus future failure is more than possible.

Don't run the propeller! Get a new one. Let me know if we can help.
