View Full Version : Anyone going to 31mm cove over the 4th of July?
Is anyone going to 31 mm cove over the 4th of July weekend? I will probably be there since I dont much like the Party Cove on a holiday weekend and I was just curious as to if anyone else is going.

Sea Esta suggested PC for July 3rd and 31mm for July 4. Who's in for that? July 5th we'll probably go to Ha Ha Tonka if anyone wants to make the long jaunt. I know that's close for you, Nick.
I would be in if you don't mind. Would like the opportunity to meet some of you. I don't have many posts on this forum, but I do follow some of the threads. I will be bringing the boat down with a couple of buddies that weekend (no wife or kids). The wife and I will be down for 2 weeks straight the following weekend and then about every weekend thereafter through Labor Day. We keep our boat at Blue Moon 19.5mm. You all sound like a fun group. We have hooked up with ASH and company on occassion, on the Mo river, but always looking to make new friends on the water. Anyone up for JagerBombs. [smilie=1062.gif]

A day of "sex and sin" (as MOAllen puts it) in the pc on Sat. If we don't get adequate doses of "sex and sin" on Sat, back to pc for us on Sun. We are still down on Mon so we are undecided on that day. [smilie=071.gif]

It's an older 36' Gibson Houseboat that my brother owns. They usually park on the north end of the line of Rental Houseboats. They try to get just past the end of the gaunlet and tie to a tree on the bank. There's huge speakers on top of the roof, you can't miss it. Your definately welcome to tie up. We usually get there about 11am, so if you are coming in PC just hang to the leftside of the cove, and you'll see it.

Kendall has two from a previous marriage. They are 11 and 9. We have them everyother weekend. The perfect world, party one weekend and the family thing the next.
I'm thinking they aren't going to come down until around 5:00 on Saturday, so, we may be able to make the PC. We are also having a BBQ that night with Seize-n-tickets. Anyone is welcome. We will be eating around 6:00

If I'm on the left and you tied next to me it wouldn't be a problem. It depends alot on whether the Real Player is tied on the right to a house boat or if they are down farther and on the edge of that little cove.

I like that Port Overhead. We got a good deal, though they were ready to move it, we've had it about 2 yrs now.

No way, Jack likes to ramble on and the second half of his posts are usually over my head. I have never seen Jack write a one line post.
Sea Esta suggested PC for July 3rd and 31mm for July 4. Who's in for that? July 5th we'll probably go to Ha Ha Tonka if anyone wants to make the long jaunt. I know that's close for you, Nick.
Sea Esta's, do you guys have a house or condo? We stayed with some friends at their condo this weekend up by you guys. I think it was called Cedar something.....
Ms. Sea Esta
06-28-2004, 03:05 PM
Either Cedar Glen or Cedar Heights. Cedar Heights condos were just built in the last year. We have an RV at Bull Run Bluff. It's catty-corner across the water from Bridal Cave. The 283Checks stay there also and Ptextremes.
Looks like we'll be running around on our end of the lake Sat. instead of going to PC. Don't want to run through the super rough water. We'll see you Sun. @ 31.
Okay then it was Cedar Glen. Wow that would be a long ride to the party cove!
Ms. Sea Esta
06-28-2004, 03:18 PM
We're probably 2 miles before Cedar Glen. It is about 25 miles to PC for us. On July 4th weekend, that would be 15+ of bad chop so we have decided to play down our way. Also, we figured on Fri. we would meet the group at the Hurricane Deck bridge since we would basically be driving up to BWJs and just turning around again.
You guys should just do like I do and leave at about 8am. Its smooth sailing at that time of day!
Nick

Yeah, but the problem is coming out of PC. Plus the holiday weekends bring out some of the people who don't normally go to PC. They tend to be the problems. We've got a place we need to be out that night so it's best to hang down on the "nice" part of the lake.
I do know the boat. It used to be Pam and Charlies. They traded it in for a Caiman Cat.

I do know the boat. It used to be Pam and Charlies. They traded it in for a Caiman Cat.
Who's Pam and Charlie? Did they take care of it? It's been a good boat, no problems really except the Gas Tank access was loose and the headliner was sagging, but I fixed those. Just needed a good cleaning. I heard through the grapevine at Port Arrowhead that they were pulling it up the hill from the Marina and the hitch broke or came loose and the boat and trailer rolled back down and hit a wall. They replaced both outdrives with brand new ones.

Nancy and I know Pam and Charlie.
we met them in 1998 at Big Thunder , they had a small Baja of some sort. But traded it for a larger Baja a year later.
They built a 1/2 Million dollar house across from tan tara, in St.Croix.
I knew I should have got into Vending Machines. It is very nice.
