Hey Stang,

It all depends on the condition. You might be able to pull it back out with buffing and a wool pad or you might have to go a step further and wetsand. You have come to the right place for technical articles. I believe you will find an article on buffing and wetsanding in this section.

See what you think and let me know if you need anything.

Are you talking about the waterline and under parts of the boat?????

If you are talking about the stains from the water.....try a toilet bowl cleaner like 'Sno Bowl' or 'The Works'. Just wipe the toilet bowl cleaner on....let is stand for a couple minutes and rinse it off. It takes the stains right out!!

Shit, maybe that is the color. I sure hope not. It is all of the white area, the top the bottom...I think I'm gonna freak if that is the original color....

My Galaxie work boat is that nice light tan with the chit brown painted stripe.

Kinda looks like the old James Bond boat though.

It is at my Lake Sherwood house. I'll prolly have it at work on Friday, you can swing by on your way to the office. Wanna help install the lift pieces on Saturday? I'll BBQ some lunch. :)

I think Eddie and his wife are coming up our way Saturday to BBQ and drink some adult beverages.. Since your only a cove or two up maybe we can stop up there and take a peek. If you want to start on it earlier in the morning I would be willing to lend a hand. I just dont know how your boat will look on the lift after I dive into the sauce!!

Look under a seat cushion of in the bilge. That should be the original color....it wouldn't have gotten sun faded. Good luck!

Or the bottom of the boat. Clean any crap off with the toilet bowl cleaner and you will see the original color. But... if it is an older boat it will be that somewhat cream color and not a bright white. Not many older boat came out with a bright white, then it fades over time too.
