I own a powder coating company and I was approched by a company (who makes leaders and lures) to coat all of their blades for their lures. From what I am hearing, most manufactures are painting their blades with an acrylic paint and it is not holding up to the abuse that these blades are being put through in the water. Sand, rocks, weeds, ect... These coatings are either flaking off or peeling off completely. We have been doing some testing with some avid (Pro's) fisherman and they have been putting my coatings to the test. So far so good. Here are some pics of some of the blades going through.

They look pretty good. Isn't it a lot more labor for all those small pieces?

I got a new remodel job in crystal lake, we should get together for a beer. [smilie=trink39]
I'm out there sat, and then back in a week or so. Was gonna ask about some slip space at the marina you use.

In the begining it took a little bit to figure out the racking. Those are actually proto-type racks that we built to make sure everything is going to go as planned. One you have the process down it goes quickly. The first runs have been on the small (500-800pcs) side. I have a meeting with a larger blade mfg. which we should run around 2000-5000 blades of one color at a time. They run 10+ colors so it all adds up. Those will be economical and I will do good on them.

This weekend is shot but shoot me a message next time.

Well the hell is Mosi? Well I guess I will say it. Does that make Kyle a Master Baiter?

Hey Kyle, here is an idea. Reusable pasties. Anyone got a punch press? Think about it.
