You'd be surprised how much that dock rocks when your applyin' a little elbow grease to the boat....TO THE BOAT!!!!!

The for sale sign on the boat left a really bad mark...especially after I used a scouring pad to remove all the crap. I know.....DUMBA$$! Anyway a little rubbing compound and some frenzy and we're getting the shine back. Still need to do around the outdrive(is that right?) I was amazed how the rubbing compound removed the oxidation.

Any suggestions for painting the outdrive...did it overheat because I don't think that's a calcium build up, I think the paint is just wearin' off? I've done a lot of painted but not marine?

No need to paint it. Most marine stores have a hydrochloric acid cleaner, I use Zing, that takes that stuff right off and does not hurt the finish. Just hit your local store and I'm sure they will know what you are talking about.

Zing is the best!

Zing works great, but it is corosive. Put it on, but make sure you get it off when done. Oh, and be sure to do it on your neighbors cement pad, not your own [smilie=011.gif]

You can also try lime away,,, or CLR,,, thise will work to.

Then make sure you get a drive shower,,, that discolor if from the drive getting to hot.

C.L.R. Foaming Bathroom Tub and Tile cleaner takes the white crap off great.

About 3 bucks at any hardware store / Walmart / Walgreens.

Takes a couple coats. Let it foam, rinse, wipe.
