Suggestions on quick entry handgun safes

I'm looking for suggestions on some way to secure my handgun from the little ones, while at the same time keeping it accessible enough to be useful in a bad situation.

My son is 9 and I have no doubt he has respect for guns and would never touch one without us giving him permission, but you never know what one of his little devil friends might do when no one is watching.

So, ideas? I've seen the fingerprint safes, but I have a fingerprint type drug dispenser at work, and its a pain in the ass. About 50% of the time you have to try it 4 or 5 times to get it to recognize your print. That scares me a little.

I'm open to suggestions.

I have three of these in various sizes. All of them set to the same code, very fast to open and secure.

Once you get the hang of it just a second to open. I actually like the larger ones and with the spring loaded door (not sure the small one has that).

They also work upside down to mounted vertically.

They do eat batteries though, my larger one has a plug in power supply with battery back up and its the best.

Working construction I was told that if you get cuts on your fingers that it may cause the safe to not operate right.....has anyone had this experience.

I thought about getting one of those, but the display units all made a beep noise each time you pushed a button. Can you turn off the sound?

Yes you can mute the sound plus it does have a key backup too
