Thanks! Some will like it and some will not care for it. We are finishing very soon. 4 full house remodels in the past 4 years has us a bit burnt out, but it is fun to take something kind of worn out and transform it not something cool. I will post some finished pics in a couple of weeks.

Stay tuned as we are on our way to pick up our next project right now. If all goes right, we will be coming home from Toronto on Monday or Tuesday!

We have not seen any huge traffic, but so far it seems to be working OK. With all of the Ameren rules, there was no way that I could get a 100% solution, so I settled for knowing that this would be a 60-70% solution. I would have liked to team up with my neighbor, but Ameren would not allow it.

I was down working on the dock this evening and took a pic of the back of the house. We went with a gray metal roof, green paint, and wider white trim. We now have 3 large decks, with the top one doubling as a corrugated tin ceiling for the main deck. The top deck is from the bedrooms. Basically, we built the bottom deck so that I had to deal with less yard! We will come up with a plan to cover the posts at the ground level.

We used all glass for the railings as we did not want to spoil the main channel view from any level. I got bored on Thanksgiving and built the cupola in our shop at home and brought it down and installed. We have a green led light that comes on at dusk. Believe it or not, if you know where you are looking, you can see this 7 watt led bulb from 2 miles away at JB Hook!

If you take a look at the very first post, you can see the "before" picture.

The old original kitchen had to go! We replaced them with white painted cabinets, quartz countertops, and new lighting. To give more of a cottage feel we used 2" beadboard on the ceiling. I had a damaged pantry door that I am waiting on. We tiled about 800 sq/ft of floor.

We had so much fun with the floor tile that we decided to tile the fireplace wall! We added a wood burning insert and a walnut mantel and TV cabinet. White crown is around the room.

I made wainscotting for the living/dining room and painted it white.

The lower bath with adult height cabinets and quarts tops. I also used kitchen depth cabinets so there is a little shelf on top of the backs place. Every room has USB chargers built into the outlets so this shelf keeps phones off the wet surface. All 3 bathrooms needed to be vented to the outside as the were just dumped into the floor space or attic.
