Splashing a little paint , new to us lake house , minor overhaul

After moving down 7 months ago full time , we quickly outgrew our current lake place. We decided to sell it and purchased a home in the same cove. The previous owner enjoyed the Key west look. We wanted something a lil more modern. Thanks to the help of a good friend we are in the midst of redoing it. Paint this week, then move in, new cabinets are on order.

Here are some before and after pics.

Renderings of the new look for the kitchen.

Gotta get the boat docks moved around as well. Should all be done just in time for spring

Nice improvements.....I really don't ever like the Key West look at the lake. It just doesn't fit and generally looks forced. I do like your selections for color especially the exterior. Good Job....neighbors have to appreciate it.

The Key West look was fun but I like your modern style a lot more. Looks waaay newer and the class adds value. Nice choices!

I think my eyes are hurting. Did the previous owners move back to Key West?

I don't understand the funky looking fake palm trees on some docks either in the ozarks.

    New color looks great!

Wow, the house looks great inside and out! Nice job. It looks very nice.

Damn, I did not realize that the south Florida look was so "out". I guess that it will make ours easier to find!

If I remember right, your KEY WEST colors are done right and not so bold. QWKRNU's originally looked like there was a "blue light special" on Dutch Boy the week it was painted KEY WEST style, inside and out.

Thanks all for the kind words. It's been a lot work put in this week. Hoping to get moved in this weekend.
Tango your key west style fits your taste and is a lil milder than the one we purchased. Also with it being a full time house vs weekend only we wanted a more modern look with gray tones.

Looks awesome. Are you getting new counter tops or keeping them? We have similar granite countertops and want to get new cabinets and reuse to tops. If you are keeping them will your cabinet installer reinstall the tops? If so who is your installer? We would like to do the same thing. Or are you doing it yourself?
