Insurance for tritoon? Tow boat US?

With any luck, taking delivery on a tritoon next weekend. I'm wondering about insurance and what experience has been with Tow Boat US.

Our homeowners and all vehicles are with State Farm.

I would just insure it through your current State Farm agent.

SF has my house, cars, boat and umbrella.

Same way. Been with State Farm for years on House, Boats, Cars, Umbrella, etc. May find it cheaper, but service and no hassle to me is worth a little more to me.

Congratulations. I wouldn't go out on the lake without the towing insurance from Boat U
    S. Haven't needed it yet but it's well worth it every year.

One thing about BoatUS insurance, is that it is agreed upon hull value. And it comes with $250 of towing. That may not be enough on its own, which is why I also have towing through my BoatUS membership.

And oh, BoatUS insurance is now through GEICO.
What happens at the lake, stays at the lake. Unless I have a camera handy.

I don't believe so. It's worked well for us the last three years, and without being exposed to tritoons through the club, I'm not sure we would have ever given them a serious look....and ended up not considering anything else once we got used to them. Our crowd consists mainly of our kids, their cousins, and elderly, so a Tritoon is the perfect solution for us.

The way I understand this is I can do the regular insurance through State Farm, but tow insurance is separate, and worth every penny if you find yourself in need. Correct?

I'll post pics once we close and take delivery. Needless to say, we are EXCITED. Hadn't planned on buying for a couple more years, but with mom moving into a condo and having a slip readily available 2 min from our house now, making the trip to the GG to pick up a boat doesn't make as much sense (25 min drive by land, takes about an hour to get here by water from there, etc), and we can use this one any time we want it. If I were in position to go boating during the week, or lived within 5 min of a Boat Club location, I likely wouldn't have even considered giving it up, but we hope this will lead to us boating more than we have been the last couple summers. The fact we got a closeout with pretty much everything I could have ever wanted or asked for in a Tritoon, this made sense for us to make a move right now, even if not completely "ready".

I have Boat US membership tow insurance.. It's the best $75 you can spend IMHO.

Only had to use it twice in 10 years and each time was excellent service. Had to use it this shootout weekend on Friday at 5:00 pm. Broke my fuel pump belt in the main channel at MM 23. They were there within 15 mins. and towed me back to my slip 3 miles away. Made the shootout on Saturday morning.

We have had the same for about 10 years and have never used it. That said, the best peace of mind that $75/yr can buy, especially when a guy has a few boats and a couple of jetskies held together by bubble gum and duct tape. It covers the entire family on any boat.

Once we close and take delivery. I'm a superstitious sort.

I will miss the reciprocals when we go to Sarasota, but figure if I really want to get out, I'll rent a boat or wave runner. The club has been great for us.
