Someone’s SeaRay was doing just that at Dog Days K9 cannonball last Saturday. Not sure what he was worried about colliding with since he was docked.

I saw that at DD on Sat as well. Historically, its mark of total douchbaggery. Not everyone that turns them on and leaves them running is in fact a douche bag however. Many owners simply don't know. I used to try and stage an intervention occasionally and explain the situation to operators, but everyone I tried to explain it to, was a douche bag. Somewhere out there is probably that one non douche bag. It's up to you guys to find and document them now. I'm old and tired.

Aching to get back to Florida and check on the build progress of my new boat. I got an approval photo this week of my console and a few hull photos after they popped her out of the mold.

The build is half the fun - looking good! Ok maybe 1/100th the fun, but still fun...

I have gotta get back down and see her before they get much farther along. Went with trip 400s, no joystick and a seakeeper.

Finalized the electronics package. WOW a lot more stuff goes into an offshore boat than a lake boat. The quote sheet was 6 pages long and I could have paid for another 400 on the back for what this stuff costs (didn't need all of it but it's cool and I was getting a discount).

    The short list: (most garmin)
    2X22" chart plotters
    124 Fantom radar
    GSD26 sonar
3 thru-hull transducers (high chirp, low chirp and dedicated depth w/temp)
    AIS 800
    VHF
    Autopilot
    fusion stereo
    FLIR
    Sat tv dish
theft prevention tracker, basically a hidden SPOT transmitter
fish deck camera (also works as motion detector)

    Sounds exciting.
Maybe a dumb question but... does the theft tracker thing require a subscription?

They keep asking for checks so I make them send me photos first. Have some new ones today!

    Awesome pics.

I had never heard of "SeaKeeper" so when I saw it labeled on the helm pic I had to google it. Just when I think I've become immune to all that technology can do, something like this blows my mind again. Science and facts, folks . . . they're amazing!
