    It's almost official now

I am joining the ranks of the snowbirds. The contract is in on the condo and has been accepted so we are headed back to Marco after Thanksgiving for inspections and a little boat shopping.

Spoke to Ernie earlier today and I think I am actually going to migrate a boat back and forth too. At the transport cost I really can't rationalize putting my saltwater boat in rack storage instead of bringing it back to LOTO for the spring summer and hurricane months.

Has anyone else seasonally migrated a 40+ ft 20,000 lb boat or am I just being stupid? In my book the shipping is less than the annual depreciation on a second boat.

only a few more years until I start having dinner at 4:30 now

No winterizing means no engine fogging.

You are doing your environmental duty by boating all winter.

Congratulations on your purchase. On the other hand, Florida just doesn't cut it for me. In winter season the roads and highways are jammed with old geezers like me driving 5 mph...lol

not yet but from a purely functional point of view the logic is hard to argue. Kind of like keeping your fly open is functionally optimized.
