I saw Little Brett is selling the docks and breakwater to make room for new everything. Can't wait to hear what's coming. He said a friend is opening something there but he didn't say what.

I wish they would open again ... I remember when I first went there ( years ago ) that was pretty good bbq ... not sure what happened but at the end they just sucked... The lake needs a top notch barbecue joint ....... bbq and the midwest just go together !!!

Just have to plug Half Sauced... In my opinion they have the best briskets in the country. My other top contenders are: #2, Daytona Pig Stand @ Destination Daytona,Daytona, FL #3: OLE Rudy's BBQ at the Hwy 36 and I75 Intersection, Jackson, GA &#4: Rudy's Country Store and BBQ, Bradie Dr, Del Rio TX. I do too. But I really think the lake is getting way to rough for main channel bars. I know Paradise and others make it but itís gettin rougher every year.

Hmmm. If it does reopen, I hope whomever it is does better than the last lot.

Since it is in short walking distance from me, it would be nice to see it reopened, especially if it has decent bar-b-q. Half-Sauced is our go to place now.
What happens at the lake, stays at the lake. Unless I have a camera handy.

    A good question for RMDye.
RMDye, my eye caught a mailbox when driving back there a while back. You are a short walk away.

RMDye, if you see an old deck boat loitering in the cove, throw me a rope.

The rough water there needs to be addressed. Maybe a better wave break than they had the last time I pulled in there.

But then.. It really worked out for Niangua Falls? or whatever we are going to call it this year.
