    Judge Overturns Missouri Trooper's Firing

    Really?

    Judge Overturns Missouri Trooper's Firing
A Cole County judge has ruled that the head of the Missouri Highway Patrol did not have the authority to fire trooper Anthony Piercy and sent the case back to the agency for consideration of a new, lesser punishment.

I usually don't wish bad things on people but this azz whipe is the exception to that rule. Hopefully karma is knocking on his door. With that being said, i don't think there's any way the higher ups could have screwed this whole case up from beginning to end anymore than they did.

More wasted tax $$. To think that he has already cost the state millions, let's spend more.

They didn't "screw it up", they did exactly what they wanted to and are perfectly content with the results.

Kinda backfired on the state when you cover things up on the criminal side and then think you have the authority to fire him.

Can you be a state trooper with a conviction? Didn't he spend a really short amount of time in jail for his crime?

What crime? The misdemeanor? No I don't think so. 12 hour hold for questioning was his only detainment.

He should have to serve the same amount of time as someone that kills someone in a DWI. He should have gotten 10 years just for being sober and stupid. Wonder what the state would do if everyone arrested would refused to have troopers put life jackets on them. The reason for getting his job back is so he can get his retirement which all of us will pay for.

As I've said 100 times before....The worst part of all this is the message it sends to all the other gung-ho jackass cops out there. There's no way in hell that they will ever be able to convict a crooked LEO after this shananigan. They are MAKING law.
