    Noise

Is Water Patrol not ticketing for noise any longer? There are several boats that I see/hear go by on a regular basis that require a stop in conversation (when inside). Funny thing is that most of the truly loud boats nowadays arenít really that fast by todayís standards...

I thought this might be about backwater Jack's. Stopped in Saturday night and the band was really bad and to loud. We left.

Thought we could go a bit earlier on sunday. Way to loud for 6. I am going to eat and talk at that time. We had 1 drink and left. Sounded better up the hill than at the table

I've always found it interesting how a "hot spot" can lose it's luster. I've never run a bar, but been in my fair share and I've seen it happen time and time again...
Are you part of the problem? Or part of the solution?

Agreed, for years BWJ was my favorite spot on the lake. After the remodel and the pool it doesn’t work for me any more but they are doing a great business with the younger crowd that run up $100 bar tabs. They don’t miss my business at all.

I heard a loud one at Coconuts
Never liked those loud obnoxious boats, until I bought one of my own.

And pontoons and cruisers with at the dock with the music on. The one I parked next to saturday didn't have anybody in it. I guess he just wanted to show off his stereo.

We were there too. Sat by the pool to listen to the band, allowed us to have a conversation, and it did seem to sound better off to the side. I think BWJ's made a mistake with the stage, it should have been pushed back farther. Or they should get rid of the lower tables in front of the stage and make a bigger dance floor, etc.

They also shouldn't use the "yellow or green" light colors in the pool. Just because you can change the colors at a whim doesn't mean you should do every color of the rainbow. Watching people swim in yellow water...... ugh...

I think they crank the band like that to try to cover the pool because the zoning does not allow speakers outside the band area.
