Shelbyville is in our backyard, nice lake. Sounds good to us but can't make in the middle of June. Anytime else would be great.

i have a buddy i visit up there, he has a white and green 25' cobalt that he keeps up there i may be down for it ill talk to him and see if they will be up there in june his boat name is xtasea i think. just keep a reminder on the board for that weekend.
I've been there before. It's a nice lake. This is the first I've heard about the party cove. Sound like fun though![]()

I have done some research on the lake, They have a small Part Cove sounds like 50 or so boats on a given weekend and can be as big as 100+. The lake offers Camping, marinas and a few resorts.
I know I am going up there for sure this year, it would be cool to get a few boats and crash there party at part coveMaybe pick up a few new members.

Don't change plans for us. Mid June would be perfect but we have plans for loto the 16 - 18th. Last summer we found a cove with about 20 - 25 boats and couple of 60'+ house boats rafting. Keep us posted when the final dates are set.
GB, how big is the lake?

I boat on Lake Shelbyville almost every weekend and the party cove is out of control sometimes.. Seems to get bigger and better every year. Lets get something planned and party it up.. Holidays are the best but everyweekend there is fun to be had out there..Originally Posted by Zombie
I'm about 35 minutes from Shelbville Lake. I think party cove is at point #5....I'm having one of those days! LOL! I used to take my 272 and 33 Outlaw up there quite a bit before I had a place at LOTO. They have a big party one weekend in party cove each summer, I'll have to find out when that is.
you can check out the lake here: http://www.lakeshelbyville.com/

If timing works out I'm sure Mel and I are in for a road trip. Besides, if things go well, this will be the last year we'll have a boat we can trailer!
looks to be 9-10 Miles long. Not real big, but I am sure we could have some fun.

The 24-25 will probably be the best date in June. Since father's day is the weekend of 17/18. Jobbie Nooner looks like a hell of a party, But it's an easy 11-12 hour pull for us Missouri folk. Need at lest a week for that kind or drive time.
Opinions please!! Is that a good date? Should we find another month to do it? where should we stay, Campground, resort (provided we can still get rooms)?

There are a few options on places to stay.. there are several secluded coves to toss and anchor and spend the night or there are several nice campgrounds.. Wolf Creek is a great place to camp.. Eagle Creek has a hotel for those of you who dont like to camp or stay on the boat.. I will try to get some links on here but a simple search will get you more information
