    Very cool article!

You mentioned other cars that are stashed away so...
About ten years ago, a local gentleman from Edwardsville IL named Wayne Curry passed away that collected rare Ford powered cars. Among a big collection there was a real 427 Cobra, an extra aluminum Cobra body, a Mustang KR convertible, and a DeTomaso Pantera all in mint restored condition. At some point in the man's life, his son passed away but his son's closest friends still came to spent time with him through the years. When Wayne passed away, each of his son's friends inherited one of the cars.

    Cool story.
As the generation that grew up in these cars passes, I predict there will be more "rare" finds.
Time will tell how their values hold.

Having grown up in the muscle car era. It's a real kick to see Mosi Jr driving them and experiencing the 'COOL' factor.

First drive in his Goat a couple years ago.

LOL..... Well he's learning about profit/loss on muscle cars....
    .
    .
.... also discovered that most modern motor oils lack zinc and ...... if used can lead to a nice motor rebuild bill... Now he can say....
    .
.... ''All matching numbers car, frame off resto, with a current motor rebuild resulting in a few more ponies than back in 1969''

Not that it is a stable investment tool, but what cars today are buy and hold kinda cars? Maybe that is for another thread....
Limited production Shelby, Roush, Salleen Mustangs, Corvettes, Camaros...

I few friends in the business said, "Buy what the kids want, but can only see in posters in their lockers"
Not a solid investment plan, but I do wonder what the collector cars will be in twenty years.

That car should go to Barrett Jackson I'm thinking it would bring over 200K.

SummerObsession has (or did) have a one owner rare stainless steel low mileage car in his barn. Do you still have it?

NONE OF THEM....... There isn't a car made today that will get 20 or 30 times the original cost of the car if stored with low miles for 30 years.... It's a WAY different ERA.

You guys that were luck enough to have driven these cars in the 60s have an AMAZING memory of them. Todays cars and todays 20 somethings just aren't the same. I grew up going to car shows in the late 80s and 90s with my dad and his 70 BOSS 302 and 69 Mach I 428 CJ. I remember my dad talking to guys for hours about the GOOD OLD DAYS of the MUSCLE CAR. If I had a Dollar for every time I heard a Dude say, I HAD THAT CAR WHEN I WAS YOUNG, MAN I WISH I STILL HAD IT. I would be able to buy that Shelby with Cash.... You guys know MUSCLE CARS. Todays MUSCLE CARS aren't the same, nor are the KIDS buyn them...
