    Boat lift blower/vaccum motor

My Precision FiberSteel lift motor burned up Sunday. Does anyone know if a replacement could be found locally? I would think I could find one at Grainger. I would like to find one tomorrow so I can boat in the evening.

    Cory,

Call Dan, Chillin' Dee Most, at Jensen Tire. 493-7990. Grainger has them in stock and Dan knows the item number.

I also got a replacement at Grainger. I just typed the number in from the old one on Graingers web site and it came right up.

Dan could not remember the number, but told me to take it to Grainger. No luck. The guy at the counter was useless and did not seem very eager to do some research to help me. I called Precision lift in the Ozarks, where this trhink was built, and they could not even tell me what to use for a motor. This is rediculous. I finnally found out that Bowling Electric in Camdenton, MO is who assembles the boxes for Precision. I called Bowling and he would not tell me any specs but only that he uses 10 different type motors and he needs to see this one. I sent him a digital picture and hope to get a response. I'm starting to get pissed off. It makes no sense to me that the company who manufactures the lift can't tell me a brand, part number or specifications for a blower motor.

I believe this is the one that mine lift used. If you call me, I might be able to help you find the right one. Better hurry though I'm leaving for the lake in an hour. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/pro...622036&ccitem=

Here is a link to all 8 pages in industrial vacuum motors at Grainger. I believe the motor you want will be a one stage and whatever diameter you have. Match it by pic and specs. Mine had a number and crossed directly off the web site. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/sea...h_type=catindx

Thanks, that looks close. I was unsure if it had to be a bypass or flow through design.

Thanks Cory, you cursed me.............My lift has two motor boxes. I replaced one vacuum motor last year and this weekend the other one started making more noise than usual. I'm picking up a spare at Grainger this week, I think its days are numbered.

thats the right one... do not let any water in the lines, it will take out the plastic flywheel fast, I know from first hand problems---- had a hose that leaked slowly, item number 1611622036 will fix you up..

Replaced one of my two motors earlier this year. Raymonds has them in stock, but that was the closest for me

    All,
Go to Boat Lift Marine Center and get them there. They have the normal flow motors and the high output motors. The high output ones are great on rough water because they get your lift up faster. Those are usually used on the larger lifts (cruisers) so it does not take all day to lift 25000 #s. Don't remember the cost. They are located on 54 Hiway near state park entrance.
