We are proud to announce the dates for the 6th Annual Support Our Troops Poker Run at the Lake of the Ozarks. This year the event will be held on Friday June 28th.

Since its inception 6 years ago, we've grown from 60 boats to averaging almost 120 boats and 500 people from all over the country. The support for our military men and women has been truly humbling, and as a result, the Support Our Troops Poker Run has turned into the biggest poker run at the Lake of the Ozarks.

To date we have raised over $70,000 for Operation Homefront. That money goes directly to assisiting our brave heroes overseas, and the families they leave behind.

We are proud to have been voted the Best Poker Run in the Readers Choice Awards!!!

About Our Charities

Midwestboatparty has always had a fond place in our hearts for the men, women and families of our armed forces. Many of our members are either military personnel themselves, or family members of miliatry personnel. Last year we brought 120 boats and over 500 boaters from all over the country together for this event and we were able to raise and donate over $15,000 Operation Homefront and $3000 for The Global Orphan Project. In total, we have raised over $70,000 for these great causes. Once again, all proceeds from the 2013 Poker Run will go to Operation Homefront and The Global Orphan Project.

Operation Homefront provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind, and to wounded warriors when they return home. A nonprofit 501(c)3 founded after September 11, Opertation Homefront leads more than 2,500 volunteers in 26 chapters nationwide. Since its inception, Operation Homefront has provided critical assistance to more than 40,000 military families in need.

The Global Orphan Project is a global orphan care ministry headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. GO Project mobilizes local churches in some of the poorest areas on earth to care for the neediest orphaned and vulnerable children in their communities; children of last resort with no viable means of care. A vibrant, viral network of global givers fuels the growth of this grassroots movement for orphans.

GO Project was founded in 2003 as C3 Missions International, Inc. by Mike and Beth Fox in Kansas City. In 2010, C3 formally changed its name to The Global Orphan Project.

GO Project is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations to GO Project are tax deductible. 100% of the orphan care donations go to their sustainable orphan care programs. GO Project do not use any of your generous gifts for their administrative overhead or fund raising expenses. They are able to do this because several generous donors and other income sources fund their overhead.

 

2011 Support Our Troops Poker Run Highlights

Once again we brought 110 boats and over 400 boaters from all over the country together for the 4th Annual Support Our Troops Poker Run and we were able to raise and donate over $12,000 Operation Homefront and $3000 for The Global Orphan Project. In total, we have raised over $55,000 for these great causes.

This event continues to get bigger and better and we were voted the #1 Poker Run in the Readers Choice Poll in Powerboat Magazine this year!!!!!

2010 Support Our Troops Poker Run Highlights

We would like to thank everyone that came out and supported the 2009 Midwestboatparty Support Our Troops Poker Run. We had over 120 boats and 400 boaters from all over the country come and and support a great cause. Because of your generosity, we were able to pay out almost $5,000 in prizes for the participants and over $12,000 in donations to Operation Homefront.
