Reggie asked if he would take them for a ride, Jeff said ride? You're driving! He said Reggie turned the boat 90 degrees doing 90 MPH! The boat almost didn't get off plane when he was putting it on the trailer.

The MAN can drive!

You can see it in person at the run next weekend. [smilie=appl]

Thanks Jeff and I can't wait to go for a ride [smilie=042.gif] er I mean drive it.

That's the coolest boat I've ever seen ..... ha.... but then again, I'm a little biased. Brian Forehand at Fountain did an incredible job reworking the boat. See you at the poker run.

Wow  you have been lurking since September of 2009! I had to buy a boat from you so you would post?!

How about a few pics of the better 3/4? This is a tough crowd I'm not sure the boat alone will get them to show up.

What will that 42 pr do with the 525s?

I like those, no offense to the Reggie worshipers, but that is probably the nicest model in their line of boats in my eyes.

That's me, Reggie and Reggie's 3 year old grandson. Reggie is truly a class act. The whole Fountain team has treated me fantastic. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Brian Forehand and Reggie Fountain. Doc Janssen introduced me to Brian Forehand and Brian was responsible for building the Stampede, Taz, Cutting Edge and the new Watch Your Back boats for Doc. Everything was done in house at Fountain. Going there was like going to Graceland for me. Truly an amazing experience. Fountain .... Because there is a difference.

I've had the boat running 96.2 at LOTO at the OSS races with 1.50 gears and 32 five blades last year. With 1.35's the boat ran 100 before I bought it but it will take you a few miles to get up to that speed. I had the 1.50's and 32 Herring six blades on it yesterday in 95 degree heat and humidity at Fountain and we ran 92.2, although we were bouncing off the rev limiters, but the acceleration was great. We'll see what props we will run at the poker run Saturday.

Congrats! Boat looks great. Brian was doing 90mph plus turns with me and my wife in a 35 canopy boat and she wasn't even in a seat. She was sitting on a life jacket behind the front two seats. The factory is a must see!

Are they still there? I saw a number of new Fountains headed north a couple of weeks ago, all being pulled by Shogruns trucks?

Not starting any rumors, just askin?

They are doing great. Very busy yesterday when I was there. Saw them delivering a few new boats and some refurbs. They have a new investor who came in last year, Bill Gates (not Microsoft), from Florida. He's a great guy too and things are picking up for them. No doubt the best facility for powerboats ... bar none.

Brian can flat out drive too. He has studied under the King, Reggie. Brian lives and breathes for fast boats and is a great teacher now too. I've been driving fast v bottoms for a while but have learned more from Brian in the last year than I ever could have imagined.
