    I believe the video shows Dan McKenzie in the blue 39 Cigarette was the first V, way ahead of Stampede at the bridge. Don't know if they started together or not...Stampede is normally the faster boat by a long shot; but not today.

    they did'nt start together, the cig took off just behind Randy, Saratoga was well back to start, the two boats are well different on speed, like 115mph vs. 150mph

    Come one,,, planining is everything Saratoga Stampede runs at 3 gallons a mile,,,,,,
    Remember, it is not how fast you go, but how long you can go fast........
    Saratoga Stampede was delayed in the disorganized start,, and still was the 3rd boat to the first stop ( #1 Nauti Marine, #2 Bat Man Boat, #3 Saratoga Stampede)
    The bridge was not the first start,,,,
    Great Poker Run,, but for those that were not there,,,, the 46 Skater with quad 1200's was doing some photo shoot runs, before the start and set the pace,,, so of course it was the first to the bridge,,, but was not in the top 3 to the first stop
    Congrats to all that put this event on,,,,

    We were the fastest V in the third group.

    When we hit the bridge, we looked back, we were waaaay ahead of everyone, thought we would sneak in and grab a card at Super Cat Cove before we got to to Bear bottoms, but couldn't find the place

    As stated at the drivers meeting we did a photo shoot at the start of the run. Speedy was the pace boat for flight #1 we would love any ideas for helping out with the start.

    The quad skater was paced behind speedy for the start of flight 1, he started in the back and moved up. The photo shoot didn't help in pole position.

    Get everyone to tune in on marine radio, most people especially the people running in the 1st group, have at least a portable, you can give them the "green green green" call when it's time to go.

    ++++++++++++
    A Base Control Radio at the Start,,, annnouncing the time, the line up and the start ,,,,,,, is a fantatic idea,

    having a base radio, for communication on the time for departure of the docks,,, the line up and the starts would be benificial, add safety and improve the activity,,,,, Especialy on a universal channel like Race Control (78a)
    Stampede was on a late start,,, as we were lmessing with our radios, trying to communicate with our 30' SVL, ,,,,,on well ,,, the devil was in the details,,,,
    FUN time at loto
