DUMB drums!! I want disc brakes!!

Ok we are going to actually pull the boat off LOTO and go to Grand Lake this summer for a week so I figured I better get the trailer ready to roll. Well the Drum set up sucks!! I want to change to discs. What does everyone recommend for kits or brands to build my own kit. I'm going to do the work myself. Triple axle w/brakes on tandem. 12000 loaded not sure on tongue weight. Thanks in advance!!!

I converted my myco to eoh for around $1000. It will stop the truck. My opinion disk would be a waste of money without going eoh. I was going to buy disks after I converted mine but it worked so good I never bought the disks.

Elec/hyd is the bomb! You can stop/brake as you back down the ramp....So awesome. I would want nothing else.....Some tow vehicles (older) will not recognize the elec/hyd and you will need to add an aftermarket brake controller in cab....Good luck with what you choose....and also be sure to price an entire axle instead of part by part...I got some Dexter's years ago for about $85 each. was way cheaper and easier.

Im with ASH, you can probably buy new axles with disc brakes, new bearings, ready to bolt in for about the same price as putting on new brakes and going through the wheel bearings.

It is true that some factory brake controllers won’t work the eoh but Brakerite sells a module to make it work.

That's what I've heard about some of the built in controllers. It's hard to dump a ton of money into a trailer I only use every once in a while. 90% of the time its sitting on the lift.

Going to Grand is a easy tow. Better than LOTO from the KC area.

Can you put Electric Over Hydraulic on the front axle only on a triple axle trailer?

Why would you only want to do one axle??
