    Dock improvements

We find that we spend a TON of time on the dock. From fishing, working on the boats, eating, drinking, watching TV (mainly YouTube and Netflix) and just hanging out. To help extend the season on both ends, we ran 220v down to the dock and added some ceiling mounted quartz heaters (put them on 1 hour timers so they do not get left on). We then enclosed 3 sides of one of the parts of the dock with roll up curtains. While at it, we added about a dozen security cameras. Still have a bit of finish up to do, but like it so far. Last Sunday morning in the cold, wind, and snow, we were able to eat breakfast in long sleeve shirts.

Looks great. We been putting roll up Screens on the dock to, mainly to keep the sun off the boats. But it sure make the dock warmer. Might look in to some heaters like you did.

My electrician buddy did the math and I believe that we did 2 3000 watt heaters on our 50 amp 220 service. I will look next weekend.
Better yet, if you are at the lake, stop by!

That's a nice setup. I have driven by it in my boat the last couple of summers and it looks great.

We are actually Tarpon fishing tomorrow in SWFL and the hopefully the gulf will lay down to go offshore on Monday or Tuesday. Back to the lake on Wednesday to nail some more crappies this weekend.

We gave it what we had, but no tarpon today. From all of the wind and waves the past few days, most of the water in the sound is very cloudy. Cloudy water is not good. We tried the Sanibel causeway, Knapp’s point, redfish pass captiva pass, the rock pile near the stilt houses and the first two bridges on the Caloosahatchee.
Have some things to take care of tomorrow, but hoping it clears up on Tuesday and we will head offshore.
