    Accuracy of scanned engine hours

I sold my Baja six years ago and it had approx 170 hours on it. It’s back up for sale again and now only has 130 “scanned engine hours” lol. How is this possible unless engine was replaced?

Or could be like mine and probably many others. Hour meters showed 150ish and ecms showed 300. Why do people have to try to be crooked all the time!

For any vehicle purchase I ignore the odo, I have a compression check, I check the fluids, an listen to the thing. If it checks out ok, then to me, its safe to proceed. I know for sure sellers jack with the numbers just to get it off their hands. Its a shame indeed!
