    Lake of the Ozarks Book

If you have been coming to the Lake for a long time this Book will bring back a lot of memories. If newer to to the Lake, will tell you some history of prior years. Pretty good read and not too long. Lake of the Ozarks . By Bill Geist.

Remembering the Bagnell dam strip from the late 70's till it faded. Ozark Sky Ferry,The Haunted house,Two Bit Town, the water slide, etc. It really was pretty cool. Fewer and fewer of us around these days to recall...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwtZfLr783U

This is a great book about the history of LOTO. My grandparents got it on the LOTO 50th Anniversary.

Just finished the Bill Geist book. The guy is quite the story teller. I read it in basically two sittings... well written, fun, easy read! Put it on your Christmas list.

    Thanks for the recommendation!

I just got my copy back from my neighbors who are longtime residents here in the cove. They appreciated the stories from their younger days at the lake. Many fun stories.
