    Woods Closing

Woods is closing July 28th in Osage Beach. Will miss them being so close. They say due to lower volume except for Summer. Pretty much the case for most stores isnít it? They knew that before they bought it from Pauls. I personally donít think the service or quality was as good as Pauls after they acquired. Guess itís Dierbergs and Hy-Vee now.

Wow. That place is hopping on the weekends. Damnit, I really like the convenient location and will really miss it.

I thought that the new Dollar General store (next to McDonald's) would put a dent in Woods' business when it opened this past winter, but I never see many cars there.

Every year, Osage Beach Parkway west of the Grand Glaize bridge looks more and more like a ghost town. (The outlet mall, too, but for different reasons.)

I agree. There are a lot of people up this way and I know we go to Woods several times each visit for Liquor and odds and ends. Dierbergs and Hy-Vee are not convenient for a fast visit.

We too will miss it. On Weekends it is hopping and about dinner time each day it is busy, other than that, it is slow.... And that is in the summer, rest of the year, not so much.

Don't worry, no one will go hungry.... We still have 3 other major stores with in 5 miles.
