I never kept count. First one I went to was 92 or 93. Then started race my old boat from 98 to the early 2000's. The last couple of years I have watched it on TV and watch the parade of boats going by our place at the 31 mm.

I remember 1991 when Bob M first one, not sure, but might have been there in 1990. We anchored in the small cove across the course right at the finish line. You couldn't cross the course or leave the cove, but if you got there early and stayed all day you could anchor there. I'd guess I've been to 20 or so.

Been to most of them, raced in about a dozen, 2 Time class champion in the old days.
Now I just do the street party,PBC party, the poker run, and Super Cat Fest. I might pop down on Sunday. U can c it great on TV, and Iím not into the 15 mile idle.

Been to everyone since 2000 when we got our place at the lake. In a way kind of miss it near Shooters but it's always a good time.

Have been to a number of them all the way back to Shooters but haven't been lately, guess I am turning into a crotchety old fart but the last thing I want is to get trapped in the raft up with a bunch of rookies that don't know how to anchor. Will probably drive-through to see the event, hit the street party and maybe go through the pits and trade show area.
Never liked those loud obnoxious boats, until I bought one of my own.

Last year was the first one I've missed. Admittedly - I was just fine watching it on the TV from the dock and the few places we visited after leaving the dock party were not crowded so it was nice!
Why is "abbreviation" such a long word?

Let's see.... The first one for me was 1992, back then in 1992, 1993 I helped Randy Kelly on the Start Boat. I might have helped on the Start Boat in 1994... Then in 1995, 1996 or so I was a patrol boat. Then I started running my own boats in the Shootout (23ft Velocity) then a (30ft Velocity) for a couple years. (I never won my class back then with those boats. Mike Gordon always beat me in his 23ft Velocity!!!) Then I was a spectator for a few years, even had my Bachelor Party at the Shootout in 2001!! I think I missed 2002 (It was the year the HTM boat flipped and came apart) Then since 2003 I been to every Shootout. I've ran my Saber and won my class since 2006. So, I've been to 26 Shootouts, 16 consecutively, and won my class 13 consecutive years...
What you do with 'em? Motorboat? You play the motorboat? You motorboatin' son of a bitch!!!
