What is the parking like? I would have to drive to the lake that day and couldn't get there before 3 in the afternoon. Depending on lodging and my mood I might turn around and drive home after looking this deal over but have no interest if I can't park somewhere. And it's a 300 mile drive.

Parking definitely not great. You might have to walk quite a ways. The churches on the way to the strip have paid parking, but even they fill up.

I won't even ask about the parking at the PBC open house deal Wed night. That must be a nightmare.

Wednesday parking will be easy. Thursday definitely look into Uber or alternate options.

For the last few years, both events have had shuttles. Generally it goes smooth, sometimes a wait for the shuttle depending on timing, but you can always walk. Surprisingly, there is way more parking than one realizes.

For down town: people can park and walk,(There is NUMEROUS lots in the area from business, street, schools, churches, etc) or there are shuttle stop's, they are at Woods, the lot across the street off HH (Big Gravel lot) and the old lot where the Risky's/Crab shack was. If I remember they were free shuttles but most people tipped the driver.

PBC has there own shuttles via golf carts etc... They park in their numerous lots and along side the roads etc. Also not a big deal.

I've never had a problem parking. I usually wait until nearly sunset to go when it starts to cool down so maybe people are leaving by then.
I drove 300 miles to do it one year.. but that was round-trip not one way! lol I don't think you'll regret it. Days Inn in Osage Beach is cheap and clean.

If your creative parking is no biggie

You are only as strong as the drinks you pour, the women you date, the boats you drive,
and the people you party with!

Beavers if you get there early enough, or if by land, go down behind the dam, shuttles on both ends

Is beavers open? I understood it closed down about the same time as iguana's? Have not been up there to check it out.

I was confused as usual. The strip deal is Wednesday I guess and the PBC deal is Thursday?

There is no way I can go anywhere but to the field Wed and to a budget meeting Wed evening.
