It is easy when all but 3 classes ran unopposed. And class 4 Simmons owned 2 of the boats.

So I'm confused. You'd like to see more individual classes that run two or three boats per class at any event? Although OPA/P1 did have a higher boat count at their events this year, there really weren't many more boats competing within a given class in most cases. This just means there are more classes to keep track of while running which becomes hard for the average fan standing on shore.
For the Super Stock and Super Cat classes, RWO had essentially the same amount of boats running as there were at most of the OPA/P1 contests this year.
Seems like you are really down on the RWO guys, when in fact they just put on a pretty nice event in Key West.

So same classes with 70 competive boats is less to watch than 20+? That’s a new way to look at it.
The poker run was way more impressive this year than the racing. We have done this several times and the racing was pretty weak due to the lack of the number of boats racing. We had a blast on the poker run and my liver hurts from partying down there

My point is that two of the classes that RWO was created for (super cat and super stock) had as much competition within their races in Key West as the same classes had in the 6 OPA/P1 champ series races this year. If you break it down, the Key West boat count being down was due to no Class One USA boats (maybe 4-6 boats in the class) and three or four more bracket classes with an average of 3 boats a piece. I agree, its great to have them to watch but it really doesn't make for much more competitive racing than what has been offered by either of the sanctioning bodies all year long. Just more boats on the course at the same time, making it harder for the average Joe to figure out what's going on.
Happy to buy a beverage at the lake to discuss further - just trying to understand.....
