We will try to support with the dockside pickups, but that can only go so far.

The ONLY thing that may be a silver lining is that the whole thought of NFT will go away! Hopefully all of the locals will now see the real value in the FT"s!
You know I have been thinking about this. Actually it could work out the other way. Since the traditional family summer vacation to Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, cruise, etc is likely cancelled now, the Lake is a good option for non second home owners. Second home owners might stay close to home to save money or just don't want to get on a 200 passenger petri dish this summer. Now I am the quintessential optimist but if this rona thing starts to fade going into May and June then the Lake could be booming this summer. Maybe even get Party Cove rocking again? One hitch in the get along might be getting the service workers back that are sitting at home right now getting a $23/hour unemployment income for the next 4 months.

Where you seeing this $23 an hour, thought it was less than 500 a week even with the new 150 per week added

I agree that folks may stay closer to home and come to the lake, BUT, they already work on a very short season to make a years worth of profit. I am guessing that most make money for 5 months, with the real "meat" in 3. Shortening that will have drastic consequences.

Most of the water front bars have deep secure financials backing them I think

Several of the large ones may, but there are a ton of little ones that I am pretty certain do not have bottomless pockets. Even if you have deep pockets it hurts. I could see this "Stay in Place" staying until at least mid-May, if not the end of May. Once they do lift it, I believe that it will take awhile to get the crowds ramped up. The longer we get used to this "social distancing" the more we are going top think about our personal space moving forward. It will sure be interesting to see what happens.

Jack's back? What about his back? Glad to hear he is back. Haven't seen Butch in a long time. I wanted to join the PBOF club but was not allowed in.

I have a question about this Stay at Home thing. If I have two homes, can I travel between the two homes and then stay there? I don't plan on going out when i get to either home, and the only place I am out is when I am filling up the vehicle with gas. This is not just my obnoxious question, but several friends and neighbors have been asking me this question.

I get it Tango, I just wanted one of you to write out the approval for me, so I could print it out and carry it with me on the ride down. "Officer I have an okey dokey from Midwest Boat Party to drive down to the lake as essential travel"

The extra Fed money is $600 a week not a month.
    Max weekly MO is $320 + $600 Fed money = $920 / 40hrs = $23

Pretty much anybody nationwide making less than about 50k a year makes more on unemployment.

The extra $600 from the fed only goes til July 25th, unless they extend it. My son has been trying to get the unemployment people on the phone (can’t do it on line) for 3 weeks and can’t get through. He’ll get the unemployment retroactively, but who knows how long it will be till he actually can get through on the phone. I read that every state is pretty much the same deal.
